We teddar
the hay in the spring to speed its drying
Here I
am raking hay. I rake the hay into wind
rows so we can bale it.
This
is our hay field. The goats graze it
in the winter. We get three cuttings
of hay off the field each season. On
one of the cuttings,I square bale; and
I round bale the other two cuttings.
We use the square bales for the goats.
Here we are hauling the bales from the
field to the barn. Note the round bale
in the background; my father-in-law
uses those for his cows.
Here
is the barn filled with the hay for
the winter.
