Field Trip/Field Day to Tennessee State University Meat Goat Research Program

Dr. Richard Browning Jr., Head of TSU's meat goat research program, will conduct an on hands training program at Tennessee State University Research Farm on April 18, 2009.

Program is designed to education Extension personnel and producers on reproductive and genetic evaluation to improve commercial meat goat production. The program will present criteria for culling, keeping, and purchasing breeding stock for genetic improvement in commercial or seedstock meat goat operations. By attending this Field Day, participants will learn how to select based on economically important breeding stock traits.
