Ophelia was my selection to show in the
3 to 6 month fullblood doe class at the Huntsville,
AL, USBGA Talking
Boer Goat Show. She was a doll in the ring,
but the judges though she a little short and not
as feminine as the goat who won. Ophelia came in
second.
Here Ophelia is being shown in the Overall
Junior Doe Competition by Ruth Hicklen. Thanks Ruth...

In her second show, Ophelia was probably the youngest
in her class (6 to 9 month olds). Had the Lewisburg,
TN IBGA Boer Goat Show taken place the day before,
Ophelia would have been the oldest in her class. Due
to her size and the stiff competition (from much older,
bigger doelings), Ophelia finished at the bottom of
the class. Still, we were pleased with what we saw;
and Tiffany Hallmark showed Ophelia's finer points
expertly. |
